Indian association asks promoters to cancel their show with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan

The Federation of Film Employees of Western India (FWICE) sent a message to Indian promoters Karl Kalra and Nirmal Dhaliwal to cancel their show with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.

After discovering the poster of the event in the United States and Canada with the singer, FWICE stated in its notification: “We have already indicated to our guideline that no artist / singer / dancer / anchor / Indian artist and, lastly, less important, the promoter would work with [Pakistani] citizens and [Pakistani] artists given the current alarming situation between the two countries. ”

“So it is our humble request to both immediately cancel the aforementioned shows to preserve the dignity and honor of your country.It is you, India, of which you should be proud.”
They added: “If you do not cancel the performances of Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and if you go against the feelings of the Indians, no artist / singer / dancer / Indian yet, dancer / promoter will ever collaborate with you , wherever you are in the world. ”

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has not commented yet.

After Diljit Dosanjh postponed his US tour at the request of FWICE, the association followed similar examples.

A few days before the promoters were invited to cancel their tour with RFAK, FWICE sent a message to singers Udit Narayan, Alka Yagnik and Kumar Sanu for the show at an event organized in the United States by a Pakistani.
